Birthday Week and Other Fun

We had a lot of fun celebrating birthday week.  It started with a "Paris" themed party for Kathleen.

In the evening we watched the All-Star game with some friends.
I took my cub scouts fishing, so Cody got to come.
Then we celebrated Cody's birthday with a "Lego" themed party.

And the only day of the year when it is okay to combine two of Cody's favorite activities: electronics and candy.
On the morning of Cody's birthday, Brandon decided to set up an angry birds tower for him to destroy.
Mac & Cheese with Dirt cups.  Mmm.  I love letting kids choose dinner (there is a reason they only get to once a year).

Friday Fun Day at Sandy Point:
Yes, we took our kids to see Vanilla Ice.  Not the best plan...
 Hawk's Game:
I took my scouts to see the capitol building for a tour.
 Ryan got a new shirt:
 Movie night at the park:
 Fun outfits:
We went to the zoo.  I thought the kids would watch the mama monkey with her baby all day.

The kids were fighting so badly that I decided to assign them each one kid to serve for an entire day.  They had to plan in advance some of the things they were going to do.  Cody really wanted to make Kathleen breakfast in bed.  He was so excited that he woke up extra early and had to wait an hour to make it for her.  I wish I could say it totally changed my children, but it didn't.  But we still had a fun day.
