Summer Trip and Kathleen's Birthday

We went on a road trip to visit family last week. I always love looking back at the kids in the car when they are behaving. They were all just relaxing, being so cute.We went to Silverwood Theme Park. Cody loved the "cave" AKA the underground tunnel connecting the parking to the park.

We took Cody on a roller coaster. If you know Cody, then you know he has a fear of motion. He doesn't even like swings. So it took some convincing. He was so terrified he got a bloody nose, which then was whipped all across his face. He looked pretty bad when it was all done. But he just said, "It was fun...and FREAKY!" Someone should have told us that was the scariest roller coaster in the park. We would have at least picked a better one for him if we knew.

Kathleen and Alyssa on the Ferris Wheel.
The log ride (and yes, I cut off Brandon's head in the picture, but I tried):

The kiddie coaster was more up to speed with what Cody enjoys.
Brandon loved the bumper cars:
Driving the antique cars:

After dinner the kids really wanted to go on kiddie rides. So I took all six of them by myself. My mom said I was crazy, but look how cute they all are holding hands as we walked across the park together:
The boys LOVED the train ride:

There was a show at this "old abandoned mine" and then a robbery of the train. Cody was shaking and crying and I really had to convince him that it was just a show. But I don't know that he believed me. It didn't help that "Tiny" was 7 feet tall. When he came by to get money (they collected for some children hospital thing) Cody was digging through my purse so fast and freaking out.
The kids loved the swing set and hung out up there most the time. They even ate lunch up there.
The "other" cousins:
We celebrated Kathleen's birthday while we were there:
And we sang to Cody too, just for fun:
Aunt Michelle got Kathleen a really cute headband.

We took Kathleen to Dockside for dessert (where Ryan and I went on our first-ish date):
Then we walked around on the boardwalk:
New dress:
We went to the lake, but I am so lame. These are the only pictures I got that turned out. I guess I should have taken more.

What a wonderful weekend it was to have you here. I love that Cody loved the tunnel before even getting to Silverwood. Those kids of yours were so brave on the roller coasters!

We were basically vacationing together... would have been better if we would have seen eachother! It is crazy that we did the EXACT same things, just different days. Missed you at bunco last night!
