Lake Roosevelt

I have the most wonderful in-laws that a person could ask for. Every time we spend time with them, we have so much fun. We just got the privilege of spending a week with them in a "cabin", or as Cody called it, the "cabin house" at Lake Roosevelt. Everyone was there and we had the time of our lives.

When we first arrived, Ryan let Tanner and Kathleen go on a wave runner ride, obviously completely forgetting they were 6 and 9 years old. Throwing rocks was a week favorite among the children.
Kathleen gunned the wave runner with Tanner on the back sending him flying off into the water (at least there was some adult supervision that time). And Brandon, of course, loving every minute spent with his cousin Tanner.
The "dirt rock" the kids spent an hour on.

We were so excited that we got to the beach early in the morning. It was pretty cold still.

Ryan making waves.
Kids jumping over the waves.
Ryan "falling" off the wave runner.
Josh with Nixon and Will.
Cody dumping dirt on his head.

I forgot to take the camera on the boat EVERY time we went on it. So no pictures of Ryan wake boarding or kids tubing. But I did get a few from shore. Here is Ryan and Brandon in one tube and Tanner and Kathleen in the other.

Emily, Katie and Garret.
Relaxing on a tube.
Why do you wear a mask? Did you burn your face with acid or something like that?

Josh's famous drip castles.
The kids spent hours on this dirt hill. They loved to climb it and slide down it getting every possible inch of themselves dirty.
Jessy with Baby Will.
Michelle with baby Nixon.
Grammy.

In the castle contest, we decided the winner was the one that eventually everyone worked on.
My super cute family.
Katie, Kirt and Garret.
Garret.

Katie was so tired, she fell asleep on the boat like this:
What do you get when you slide down the dirt hill on your belly? A dirty belly. And a few scrapes.
Grammy and Kathleen.
Grammy and Brandon (I took too long to get to the camera and missed my shot).
Crazy "ring of fire" boys. I guess the football (which actually floated) wasn't enough excitement.
Brandon was playing in the sand very seriously. It was so funny.
One of the many reasons to love Lake Roosevelt during the week: not a soul in site. Look how beautiful.

Emily braving the wake board behind the wave runner.

Kathleen in a wet suit. She loved it.
If you wear goggles, does that make the dirty lake suddenly become more visible?
Grammy making Brandon's world by playing with him on the disc in the lake. And of course, Cody had to join in on the fun.
Kathleen and Katie became tubing freaks. They probably spent an hour at one point. But this was the best picture I got of it. They were such cute little friends.
Question: Can a kid take off their shirt while buckeled in their car seat? Answer: if they are hot enough.
Ryan told me he took a bunch of random pictures while we were there. Brace yourself, here they come:

The bucket we washed our feet in before coming inside.
So either Emily and I are terrified to actually make physical contact with one another, or we really didn't want our pictures taken.
My favorite picture of the two of us from the trip.
We had a lot of fun doing crossword puzzles during the down time. Either that, or the counting game.
Garret loved to pull around Brandon and Cody's suitcases. And this ends the pictures by Ryan.
Cody thought it was fun to hang out with Jessy and Josh one evening.
Michelle braided Kathleen and Katie's hair to match.

These pictures are amazing. I really think you and Ryan should look into having twins-he looks so comfortable with those two babies in his arms!

Looks like everyone had an awesome time. I forgot you changed your blog and just realized that I need to change your link off my blog to the new one.
