October

October was full of fun.  We decorated our garage for Halloween and lots of people came to see.  We ran out of candy.
We did a lot of science experiments.
I hosted Bunco and made all the ladies wear witch hats.
I took the kids to the zoo and it was all decorated for Halloween.

Brandon finished football.
Brandon ran for treasurer at the school (and lost.  I tried to tell him it was a bad idea to get his friends together and run for the same office.  But he thought it would be more fun that way).
We went to a corn maize.

 Cody finished soccer.
We carved pumpkins with the Reese family.

 Boys wearing staches:
 Kathleen started basketball.
The kids had a piano recital (and got to wear costumes).

Science Experiments

We went to Utah for a friend's wedding.
Ryan got to help out as a science dad in Brandon's class.  Brandon loved every minute of it (even though you can't tell by looking at his face).

So, naturally, Ryan had to bring the experiments home so all the kids could enjoy.
Not sure what is going on here:
I hosted bunco at my house this month.  It was fun to do a Halloween theme.  This was the centerpiece.
I made soup in pumpkin bowls.  Kathleen helped me out with the carving.
I made everyone wear a witches hat, like it or not.  Because I'm evil like that.

The kids had a short week of school and the weather was perfect.  So naturally we had to go to the zoo.  They love this cute little baby monkey that never holds still.  He just swings and climbs and jumps all over everything.  Sound like anyone you know?
It was fun because it was all decorated for Halloween.

Brandon finished up his football season.

I wish you could have seen the panoramic view of this.  There in the middle were all the boys, then their coaches, then they were all surrounded by cute and supportive parents.  What an awesome group of people.
Brandon decided to run for school treasurer.  I'm not totally sure when he decided to come out of his shell, but here he is.
We went to the corn maize.
Ryan is so handsome.  I love this picture.

Kathleen wanted me to make her costume this year.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  And looks even cuter with the black sweater on.  And yes, those shoes were made with a sharpie.  More pictures another time with all the kids costumes.  Stay tuned...

August

We have been a little busy, like always.  But always having fun.  HereRyan and I took a little trip to Provo (just the two of us!) to see Uncle Kevin's inauguration as BYU's 13th president.

Ryan hiked Mt. Borah with some friends from work.  He said it took 6 hours to reach the top.  He was pretty sore the next day.
This is the only picture I got of us canning peaches and jam and all that fun harvesty stuff.  It took all weekend, but is totally worth it as we eat it all.  We maybe shouldn't have planted two peach trees.  One would have been plenty.
For Cody's birthday I took him and a couple friends to McDonald's (every mother's dream).

Cody got to start cub scouts.

 Tucano's:

We went on a family camping trip.  Cody thought it would be funny to put on Ryan's swim trunks.  Too bad they wouldn't stay up.
 Out cold:

This is what camping feet SHOULD look like:

Not sure what is with his face, but he had a ton of fun with the horseshoes.

 Cardboard box oven (camp cookies):
"Mom, this would be so much more fun if the Hutchinson's were here!"
 Rain, rain, go away!
Our sweet little Cody got baptized.  Since he is our baby, I guess that officially makes us old.

 Frisbee Golf:
Outdoor movie night:
Sweet Brandon had dental surgery and had 7 teeth pulled, two root canals, and a cavity filled.  What a trooper.  Now if he could only pay his own bills...
And here they are (if you want to be disgusted):
Ryan and Kathleen went on a western themed date.  She is loving being in Young Women's.
We played outdoor Jenga with some friends.
Kathleen made the middle school volleyball team and was super excited.
Brandon has started football.  He got to play his first game on the blue turf at BSU.

Cody started soccer and is so cute.  As you can imagine with tackle football, volleyball, and soccer, we eat, drink, breathe, sleep, live sports right now.
I guess we are out of order here.  This is what we woke up to in Provo last week.  We had to drive through this storm to get to the inauguration.
But it was all worth it once we got into Provo and could actually see the Y.  Of course, then the storm rolled through Provo too.
Brandon's football team was losing on Saturday at half time 12-0.  They made an amazing come back and ended up winning 20-12.  Way to go Chargers!
Here is our amazing daughter wit her amazing serve!  She is such a stud!
