Principal's Pride
The new couch:
We had this beautiful bird just hanging out in our yard the other day. Look at that pretty blue (the picture doesn't do it justice, but I was trying not to scare it away).
We have had a crazy, windy, week last week. Kathleen thought it was super fun to let it blow into her face on the trampoline.
Kathleen learned a new form of art that she thought was particularly fun- tracing at the window.
Cody's best buds came over the other day and they all three snuggled up on the couch together. It was so cute.
Then... what you have all been waiting for...I had been gone one evening and when I came home, I saw this:

That's right. I turned 30 yesterday. And there were streamers EVERYWHERE! I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and...you guessed it, I got tangled up and trapped in streamers. Fun times.

Brandon got nominated for the "Principal's Pride Award" at his school. He was so cute.

Earth Day, Fun Run
Cody and I went on a date and stopped and got some cookies from Mrs. Field's. When we got home, he got his cookies out and set them perfectly on a napkin just how he wanted them, then went to town.
What is this?
Oh, it is just how Cody eats a sandwich. He always starts with the middle.
Ryan and the kids made an Earth day cake last week. Since I made the cake and the frosting and had to miss out on the decorating fun, I made them promise to take pictures. Kathleen was the official photographer.

The kids got to participate in a fun run this weekend. They were so cute (and sooooo slow).

Oh, and we got a new couch:
Kathleen had her piano recital this weekend too. She did so well. I was very proud of her.
The kids love to ride their daddy like a car, then crash.
It seems painful, but then again, it is Ryan and not me. So no complaints here.
I caught Cody talking to a dog on his banana phone while I was making lunch.

Whistler's Pig
Have you ever wondered what you husband really does at work? Well today I got a sad glimpse into what Ryan does. Many of you make think he is a chemical engineer. But here is an insight into what he really is. I don't know if you are familiar with this painting called "Whistler's Mother".
Well, Ryan has a project at work called Whistler's Pig. So what did he do in his spare time? He made a graphic of it. So here it is:
There you have it. That is what Ryan does.

I Love Springtime!
I have a ton of random pictures on my camera, so here they go. For Easter the kids got more train tracks. So Kathleen and Brandon had a blast playing with the trains.
Here is cute Ryan in his new Easter shirt. Isn't he handsome?
The kids and I planted some seeds to start inside. They had so much fun with it.
Cody was Batman and Brandon was Alfred. He kept serving Cody. It was pretty funny.
Does this bring back any major flashbacks?
Kathleen's Easter dress.

And she got a skirt that she can wear whenever she wants (since we usually make her take her dress off after church).
I went to this PTA conference thing and they sent me home with some smelly pencils for my kids. The kids LOVED them and didn't let them out of their site all day on Saturday.
I know I am no photographer, but I had to take pictures of some of my favorite things right now. I love springtime and all the flowers everywhere. These are just some from our yard. This is from our ornamental pear tree.
This is from our Mt.St.Helen's plum tree.
This is from our peach tree.
And this is the lilac that we got from grandma.
And this is the best of all. The boys happily playing away together in the sand box. They are such good buds. I have never seen anything like the way these two boys play. They are such good friends and really don't fight nearly as much as I expected they would. I love my boys.
