End of School

Kathleen got to be "Mother Earth" in her geology-based play.  She got to sing a solo, which she thought was pretty exciting...until she actually had to do it.

She was so cute.  She warmed up about half way through.  Enjoy the show:
Kathleen practiced one of the dances with her buddy before the big day.  It was so cute.  I would have put more on here for you, but my camera ran out of memory.  So this was all I got.
 Brandon turned 9:
 Mother's day...gotta love bed hair!
Brandon loved his new football pads.
 Cody lost a tooth.
This is the most beautiful sight!  I love watching my cute kids walk home from the bus together.  Man, aren't they cute?  And I am completely unbiased.
While the boys were camping, Kathleen and I got to have a fun date.  We got pedicures first.

Then Cafe Rio.  What more could a girl want?
Ryan is finally out of his boot...well, mostly.  He is learning how to walk again and is so amazing at how hard he works.  But one calf is a lot smaller than the other.  This picture doesn't really do it justice.
Cody started Baseball!  He is playing for the Red Sox.
Brandon is playing for the Giants.  But it doesn't stop him from pitching like Beckett.  He puts his glove over his face and takes his sweet, sweet time.  But then he pitches fire balls!
Here is a short video of his pitching.  Not the best one to video, since he beaned a kid.  But you get the idea:

On the last week of school the celebrated all the summer birthdays.  Cody dressed up for the occasion.  He is such a funny kid.  Funny Cody question of the day:
While looking at our ice cubes he asks, "Why do people call them ice cubes when they are shaped like semi-circles.  They should be called ice semi-circles."
Kathleen had a violin concert.  She sat first chair:
Kathleen had her last softball game and party.  We love her coaches.
Kathleen won the yearbook cover contest for the back cover.
 Kathleen had a piano recital.
We went to Tucanos to celebrate Brandon's birthday.  Cody was entertaining to watch eat.

For Memorial day we went to a fun waterfall.  I didn't even know it was there.  We just drove to this cool canyon:

Hiked for about 1/4 mile.  Ryan probably wasn't quite ready for it.  The kids got really good at spotting poison ivy.

The last day of school.  Brandon did his hair in a mow hawk to celebrate.
If any of you are familiar with the grading system, here it has gotten really strict.  The elementary kids are graded on a scale of 1-3, 3 being the highest.  A student can earn a 4, but not usually.  It is highly discouraged to give that grade.  But Kathleen managed to get a 4 in...GEOGRAPHY!  I couldn't be more proud.  Ha ha.
 Last day picnic:
Cody loved his teacher and so did I.  She was the first teacher that all 3 kids had.
Kathleen's last day at this school!
Brandon brought home a packet of school work.  There were a couple things I loved.  Notice where he said he will be in 10 years.  What a cute boy.
And then here, he evaluated his behavior on a field trip.  He said he had excellent behavior.  Then when asked to explain his answer, he said, "because my mom was there."  I guess I can keep him in line on occasion.
Brandon asked that we all wear black on Mother's day because it was his birthday and black is his favorite color.  Cody didn't have black, but the rest of us agreed.
 Cody had a piano recital:
 As did Brandon:
