Ryan's employees bought him this cake for his birthday. Do they know him well or what?
For our anniversary we took a cooking class. It was super fun. Of course, everything with Ryan is super fun.
Ryan pulled out his sax (in October, I guess I got this photo in here just because I like it so much).
Decorating:
Best story of the month: I was helping Brandon with homework one morning so Cody was left to get himself ready for school. He came down with his hair combed and had put on some of Ryan's cologne. It was pretty strong. When I asked him how much he put on, he said two squirts in each armpit. But the ladies at school loved it. All his little girl friends wanted him to wear more the next day.
Making snowflakes (I promise, he did enjoy it, even if you can't tell by the photo).
Kathleen finished her season of basketball. She was so cute.
Ryan's birthday:
Gingerbread houses:
This was voted the kids favorite from Freddie, our elf on the shelf.
I went out to lunch with some friends.
I took a quick trip to Utah to visit Alyssa and meet her beautiful new daughter.
When I asked how things were going at home, this was the photo I received:
We bought Ryan a Santa suit.
Bunco, ugly sweater style:
We decorated sugar cookies. Kathleen was pretty proud of her handy-work.
We have been married 15 years.
Class parties:
There is this amazing guy who sits on his porch at Christmas time and visits with all the kids that stop by. I don't know him, but I love him.
We went to the village to see Santa.
Our family made some ugly Christmas sweaters for Christmas Eve.
We spent Christmas Eve with the Hutchinson family.
Ryan dressed up as Santa to hand out our PJ gifts.
It was Santa's turn to sit on a lap.
I'm pretty sure Joseph and Mary didn't both need to ride the donkey.
We came home to a Christmas eve miracle. Even though there were no reports for snow, Kathleen prayed and prayed for it. Then on Christmas eve it started to dump on us. We came home to snow for Christmas.
Christmas PJs:
Good morning! Cody decided that he wanted to dress up as Santa and hand out gifts. He even wrote himself a note and put it on the fridge to remember. Before anyone even went downstairs to check out the booty, we did this:
The after-disaster:
The pond froze over. We had so much fun playing there, sledding, and skipping ice across the pond.
We had our Thanksgiving feast for Christmas.
We finished out puzzle. This year was Japan (fitting I think).
We decided to donate our bike that all the kids have outgrown. It was kind of sad because all three kids learned how to ride on it. But now someone else will get that opportunity.
Kathleen made me breakfast this week. She was so cute.
We went ice skating at the village.
