Concert

Kathleen has gotten pretty good at playing the piano. And she is so cute doing it.
Kathleen had a concert at school this week. She was soooooo cute. My favorite part I think was just before it officially started and they all sang to the song "Fireflies".
I donated blood yesterday and the boys were so cute about it. A really nice lady there gave me some extra snacks to take to the boys and they were pretty excited. The best part was that they gave me a sticker that said, "Be nice to me, I gave blood today." So I told the boys that and they actually did seem to treat me a little nicer for it.

Easter Egg Hunt & Kites

Kathleen and Brandon got to dress up for school last week. Friday was "Dress as your favorite character from a book and bring the book" day. Kathleen was Dr. Judy Moody, M.D. and Brandon was a detective. They were so cute.
At Brandon's school on Wednesday, a Leprechaun came and shrunk his hat he made the day before. He thought that was pretty cool.
We had our annual Easter Egg Hunt at our house. The kids were so cute and so excited to do it so early. And the weather was PERFECT!

And Cody, of course, before we were even done getting eggs, was already inside opening his eggs and eating the candy. He was even sorting the empty eggs into a different basket.
Since Sunday was stake conference (and that meant Ryan didn't have meetings all day), we flew kites. It was so much fun and the weather was perfect for it. All the kids really got the hang of it.

Kathleen did a biography on Pocahontas. She is a little obsessed with her right now.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Here is the whole clan. Yes, this is my family. I had some highlights and lowlights put in my hair. Ryan can't even tell. But Brandon can and asked to take a picture of it. So here it is.
Brandon loves to put his tongue into his tooth hole and pretend he has a red tooth. I wonder what he will do for fun when his tooth grows back in.
Kathleen and Brandon are old enough to read, but Cody can't quite do it yet. So when we read scriptures, we just say the words, and he copies us. But for some reason one night he really wanted to be reading himself and as he copied his dad, he followed along (in the totally wrong place) with his finger.
I have no idea why this picture is here. Yes, that is me in my pajamas. Husbands...
We have a mischievous leprechaun that likes to come to our house every year on St. Patrick's Day. He gets into the kids toys and leaves a candy trail. Kathleen left him a note this year.

And, I know, what you have all been waiting for. Green dinner pictures. Here is the corned beef.
Some Irish cookies.
3-leaf clover rolls:
Cabbage:
Rob and Amber:
I didn't even know Ryan did this, but I guess he collected all the kids for a picture. Aren't they cute?
When I don't wear shoes and Ryan does, it really adds to the vast height difference that is there.

Date with Kathleen

I made Ryan this Brazilian dinner to mimic what he used to eat on his mission. It was so much work to prepare so many things that I had to take a picture of it.Kathleen and I went on a date on Saturday. We went to this super fun candy shop in town. It was so fun to see all the "Willy Wonka Candy."
Among other things, Kathleen got this candy bar to share with her brothers.
This morning I was whistling, and Cody was super fascinated by it. Here is his face as he tried to do it too.

Emily Came to Visit

Brandon was so proud of himself for stacking the Connect 4 chips.Kathleen curled her own hair for church on Sunday. It was pretty cute. And she did a pretty good job.
After the boys play the Wii, they break a total sweat and get all red in the face. Yes, it is a good workout for them.
Kathleen isn't as active on the Wii, but since I was taking picture of the boys, why not her too?

Ryan's sister Emily came to visit with her kids for the weekend. The first night they were here, Katie fell asleep with her legs over the top of Kathleen.
Ryan grilled for us. He was so cute I had to get a picture.
We went to the Zoo. For the life of me I couldn't get Brandon to cooperate and be in the picture. Shocking!

Cody LOVED the bats. They were climbing all over each other.
Kathleen loved the leopard.
Brandon, the turtle.
Katie the turtle.
Kathleen and Brandon were pirates the other day. They played with "telescopes" made of paper.
