Pumpkin Carve

It was a crisp but beautiful fall morning. So we decided to go for a walk. The leaves were falling off the trees like crazy everywhere. The kids LOVED it.
Then we had our annual Pumpkin Carve with the Reese's Pieces. We had our homemade chili and cider. Mmm.
Cody was nervous about getting his hands dirty. In the end, he spent his time washing his hands while I gutted the pumpkin.
Kathleen did hers all by herself for the first time. She was really excited and specifically asked me to mention this on our blog.
Brandon and Crayton are good buds. Brandon thought it was really fun to put the pieces back into the pumpkin after it was carved.

Cody and Dawson played together really well. They had so much fun with the Thomas toys.
The super cute girls.
Sometimes Ryan disappears with the camera. I am always interested to see what is in it when he gets back. He is so funny.
The kids decided they really wanted to play in all the fallen leaves. We raked up all around our house and the neighbors to make an appropriate pile to jump in.

More October Fun

Brandon in his Wall-e costume. He has a long sleeved gray sweat shirt he is planning on wearing with it. He is so cute and sooooo excited about it. Why I love fall: (this picture doesn't do it justice, but the sky was totally pink and the beautiful trees have Left leaves everywhere).
I made Kathleen a vampire cloak for Halloween. I have a matching one too.

We decided it was time to make sugar cookies, or we were going to miss out on doing it before Halloween.

You never know what you will find when Ryan gets a hold of the camera.

October Fun

The kids are done with Soccer. Here are their cute pictures. I made this one for Cody since he didn't get one if his own.

Ryan and I went to the corn maze on our date a couple weeks ago.
And yes, after taking every wrong turn imaginable and walking every square inch of that maze, we finally made it to the end. We are not very good at mazes.
Pumpkin update:
Someone Ryan works with gave him this 'Spearmint' gum. Inside it says, "No Spears were harmed in the making of this gum." Pretty funny.
Kathleen was so proud of this Indian Poster she made.
The kids finished soccer and had their parties and got trophies. They were so cute.

The kids went to play outside and disappeared. When I went to find them, they were in the corner on the rocks just playing. They were all so cute and getting along so well, which is amazing.
More recent pumpkin update: The boys are really excited that it is finally orange.
Kathleen really wanted to learn to play "I am a Child of God" on the piano. Ryan has been working with her. It is pretty cute.
Brandon decided to be Wall-e for Halloween. I thought it would be easy enough to make the costume. Not really so. But he sure had fun with it. He was so excited.
Yes, that is the yellow box with my butt. I think Ryan took this picture pretending it was about the box. But it was really about something else. What do you think?
Cody was eating a pop tart and the kids freaked out because they thought it looked like Idaho. Best day ever!
The finished Wall-e Costume. It will be even cuter when you see Brandon in it.
I guess it is project week because I also made new bedding. Here is the back side.
And this is the top:
A good friend of ours took our family pictures. Kathleen's smile is really freaky. I don't know what is up with it. Lately she has been smiling funny for pictures, but this is a whole new thing. I don't know what it is, but at least we have it documented forever.

Kim did such a great job and was super great working with my 3 squirming kids. Thanks Kim. Here is a link to her site if you want to see more.
